The Buffalo Grove Metra station is at 825 Commerce Court, off Deerfield Parkway, on Metra's North Central Service, the line between Chicago Union Station and Antioch. The station is 32.0 miles from Union Station and sits in fare zone 4. There is no ticket vending machine, so buy tickets on board or in the Ventra app. As of February 2024 the line ran 14 weekday trains through Buffalo Grove, seven in each direction. The waiting room is open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Village of Buffalo Grove (847-459-2500) runs parking across 5 lots with 1,050 spaces, including 21 ADA spaces, and Pace routes 234, 272 and 626 connect at the station. It opened in 1996.
